Hey there Rjr Lovers,
Wow, I haven’t written a blog since February, that’s a really long time! Rockabilly Jr. went through some major changes during the year; there used to be two of us running the show and now it is just me and my husband Matthew pitching in at markets etc as needed.
We also have some big news- we are going to have a baby! A little Rockabilly Jr. of our very own! Due in May, we are over the moon about this and feel very fortunate as we know falling pregnant isn’t easy for a lot of people.
I had some big plans to launch 4 new garments for this summer season, however, I have had rather a lousy time of it with my pregnancy thus far; which to me came as quite a shock- I really grew up believing it would be just like all the movies! All sunshine, lollipops and baby noises -what a laugh! 🌈 Anyway, that’s the reason I haven’t been able to launch any new garments so far, I just haven’t physically been up to it.
I deeply apologise to those of you who have been waiting to see what we do next and restock of the Juliette sets in particular! 😢 I promise I have plans and I’m doing my best! I do feel a little sad that I haven’t been able to achieve everything I wanted or promised you, but sometimes these things are just out of our control right? And the thing that matters most now is putting baby first. 👶
Over the coming weeks, we are going to be doing some house renovations in preparation for Bub, installing air conditioning is going to be a highlight! And we are super excited to be going on a trip with our car club @convictsqld to Japan for the incredible Mooneyes Custom Car show. A place to meet true creators and crafters, artists and like-minded friends!
And in lieu of physically being able to do everything I want for Rockabilly Jr. I’ve decided that I should make a real effort to get this blog more happening, and write a true reflection of what Matty and I get up to in our daily lives as we actually are quite quirky and hilarious! 😜
I would really love the opportunity to engage with all the other mums, dads, aunties, uncles, and friends out there.
Please comment and share your own experiences, about business and pregnancy, cars and life in general, I would love to hear about you and your life too!
Love Emma Pixie.
