Pixie Makes Laundry Liquid

Well, I thought I’d try my hand at a tutorial video. Laughable- right!

If you don’t know me very well, you soon will! Here’s some fun facts about me; I utter the word (or versions of the word) “Whoops” no less than ten times a day. I don’t know if I’m actually clumsy or just a bit of an air head, either way, I don’t mind, the people that know and love me the most understand that this is just a part of what makes me; me, and have come to expect these little mistakes. I regularly burn dinner, my cakes are flat or miscoloured, I try to put screws in backwards, I will stand in paint and walk through the house and generally spill 80% of liquids I go near. I’m always hurting myself and leaving my belongings at every house I visit, and I park my car like a punk. But, some find these characteristics endearing!

The other thing is- I am far from picture perfect. Even on top of that; I despise the thought of even trying to be perfect in my everyday life. (The one exception here is my work, which I take a lot of pride in and can be meticulous over.) I am not a pin-up, my house is lived in (some say messy), I rarely do my hair and makeup, I have a double chin and indeed the only thing that can be relied upon is my wardrobe! I don’t match everything to be period perfect, I don’t even stick to a genre, one day I can dress gangsta and the next a pirate, a disco dancing queen or a vintage princess, its just the way I am; the thought of limiting my imagination, my life or my closet is devastatingly dull to me.
The highlight of my personality is obviously the fact that I just don’t care what anyone thinks!  Clearly, this girl just wants to have fun with you; so please enjoy this impromptu far from perfect, tutorial made in our half-renovated kitchen with Love, Pixie.

Guys, it cost me approximately $1.75 to make 10L of Laundry Liquid! That’s enough to last 6 months with Bub on the way and it only took me an Hour!

You need:

1.5L Water

1 Cup grated yellow laundry soap

½ Cup Washing Soda

½ Cup Borax

Over stove melt soap with water, add borax and washing soda, stir until thickened and remove from heat. Pour into a large bucket and add another 8.5L of water, continually stirring so as not to create lumps. Pour into containers and store in the Laundry! I also suggest dancing around your kitchen to Rosemary Clooney’s Come On-A M House!
