Happy New Year to all you Cool Cats!

Happy New Year friends and family.

Today is the first day of the rest of our lives, never in my adult life have I welcomed the New Year stone cold sober and tucked up in bed, it really is a new chapter in my life!

I feel a sense of pure optimism in the air this new year and it is incredibly catching. I am 22 weeks pregnant with a healthy baby boy, 👶 Matthew is settling into his new job very nicely and 2018 is set to be a winner for the Coto’s.

After feeling like I’m never going to get this business off the ground I have suddenly in the last fortnight turned all those feelings around, after all, success starts with your mind! 2018 is going to see me solve some of the bigger problems in getting a label to turnover and turn from a caterpillar into a butterfly or a woman into a mother. 💖 I have aspirations and for the first time in a long time feel confident in accomplishing them.

I want this blog to be a true reflection of both my personal life and the trials and tribulations of running a small business. 2017 saw me learn some hard lessons, firstly PayPal can be a pain in the arse! I mean, it’s fantastic but sometimes when things go wrong it can cause many headaches, so be patient and persist, maybe in three months’ time you will have solved your problem. 😅 ! Secondly, no matter how many certificates an overseas manufacturer can supply to you in regards to current clients and ethical practice awards it doesn’t mean the company won’t fold and never ship your goods. 😱  Yup. That happened.  Third, usually things don’t work out the way they did in your head but that’s okay, just roll with it. Successful people usually fail their way to the top anyway. My last big lesson of the year is more positive; deciding to invest in yourself is never a bad idea. I completed my Diploma in Business Entrepreneurship with The Entourage and the skills and knowledge I have gained are invaluable, because of this I have the courage to keep trying.

If at first, you don’t succeed, dust yourself off and try again.

Bring on 2018!!
